Jonathan is an Illinois trial attorney whose practice focuses on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. He represents individuals and families through The Law Offices of Frederick W. Nessler & Associates, Ltd., in Springfield.

His work includes serious motor vehicle collisions, nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, and premises liability. He approaches each matter with careful preparation, clear communication, and a readiness to advocate in court when necessary.

Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois in 2004 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2007. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and in federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.

Looking beyond the familiar.

Jonathan is also the founder of Integrated Cognition, LLC, and the author of Infinite Counsel. His writing and teaching examine how artificial intelligence changes legal work, professional responsibility, and the economics of practice.

The Illinois Supreme Court appointed Jonathan to the Illinois Judicial Conference’s Task Force on Artificial Intelligence. His work in this area is informed by the same questions he brings to practice: What does the evidence show? What needs closer attention? And how does this serve people?
